Shine Cleaning Solutions provided a team of cleaners to undertake scheduled cleaning during the construction phase of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo (EMT).


We were initially approached to undertake a one off external clean of 24 portacabins, including glazed panels, which were approx 3.2 metres in height. Trained operatives undertook a detailed manual clean to remove all debris and buff the exterior surface of the buildings to a smear free shine. The work involved the use of telescopic poles and a mobile platform to reach the higher areas of the portacabins and roof areas in order to remove all marks by hand. In addition glazing for the portacabins was cleaned on both sides, prior to the client transporting the cabins to the EMT site at Edinburgh Castle. This phase of work was done over a 3 day period at a holding area in West Lothian.


The client was delighted with the work carried out instructed Shine Cleaning Solutions to undertake further work at Edinburgh Castle Esplanade. This included a full deep clean of: VIP and Press Areas, Performer Cabins, Welfare Units and cleaning works to the stand stairs and walkways. This work was undertaken to the client's programme over a period of 4 months between May and mid August 2012. In addition Shine Cleaning Solutions provided a cleaner labourer for approx 10 weeks at the West Lothian holiday site and then at Edinburgh Castle during final construction.
